The second episode of Orb Jam Series comes from Brooklyn-based producer, Federico Chiesa aka Oora, with an exclusive ambient-infused and emotive techno piece.
“I tried to bring together my ambient and techno side, so the jam started first with field recordings and a line of synth made with the Vermona Perfourmer MK2. I sequence everything with the Elektron Octatrack, which also adds some effects like reverb and delay. I like to create hypnotic loops and introduce elements slowly, mostly improvising. I am mixing everything in the PLAYdifferently Model one, which allows me to have 2 effect sends for the Eventide Space and the Benidub Echo. The other important element is the Abstrakt Instruments Avalon, a clone of the Roland 303, that I use in most of my productions. The last tool that I really love is the Hologram Electronics Microcosm, which adds a lot of textures and layers.” — Oora
