Roland announced its new flagship drum machine, the TR-8S.
The new drum machine updates the 2014’s AIRA TR-8 and brings circuit-modelled sound libraries from five classic machines, the 808, 606, 909, 707, and 727. New features include the option to upload your own samples via SD card with controls for setting the playback direction, pitch, decay, start and end point. The 16-step sequencer now has the option to record and loop changes in real time. It can store up to 128 patterns, it has eight analogue outputs, and can trigger outputs for connection to external sound sources and a multi-channel audio/MIDI interface.
TR-8S will be available this month for the price of $699.
