Jean-Luc Godard Archives: The Remixes follows Soundwalk Collective’s LP, out via The Vinyl Factory on May 25th.
The 3-track remix EP features reworks from Ricardo Villalobos, Jan Jelinek and Petre Inspirescu, and follows the six-track LP by the NYC and Berlin-based audio-visual trio titled What We Leave Behind, consisting of tracks made from outtakes, reel-to-reels and ephemera of Jean-Luc Godard’s personal archives—released to mark the 50th anniversary of Jean-Luc Godard’s revolutionary stand with protesters at the 1968 Cannes Film Festival. To precede the release of the EP, Jean-Luc Godard Archives: The Remixes, Soundwalk Collective have presented a video by Stephan Crasneanscki for Villalobos’ remix of the track “Death Is The Enemy.”
