Behringer reveals a prototype of the RD-808 at this year’s edition of Superbooth, cloning the iconic analog drum machine Roland TR-808.
After announcing the Pro-One and a variety of modules, Behringer’s surprise for this year’s edition of Superbooth is the clone of the well-known TR-808. The prototype which has presented this year has individual outputs for each drum sound, integrated synchronization via MIDI and USB, integrated wave designer with individual attack and sustain control, integrated dual-mode filter with frequency and resonance controls, among many more unique features.
Mass production for the clones is expected to happen after two months this year, as Behringer engineer Pete Sadler states, with no price yet announced by the company.
