Last year, pianist Tom Rogerson and composer Brian Eno released their collaborative album Finding Shore on Dead Oceans label.
Following the success of their collaborative album—which happened to meet the two artists by coincidence, bonding them with their upbringing in the Suffolk town of Woodbridge—Dead Oceans has now shared a short film where Rogerson and Eno elaborate upon the making of the album.
Explaining their inspirations and influences on recording the tracks, the two British artists have been challenged by their collaboration, confirming that the album brought a new side for each of them. “The whole point in improvisation is not to do something that you already know you are good at, but to sort of pitch yourself slightly outside of that,” says Brian Eno for Dead Oceans.
